Born in Massachusetts, Dr. Kristen Dellacamera’s family moved around for several years until they finally ended their journey in St. Louis when Dr. Dellacamera was 8 years old. She attended UMSL and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. While Dr. Dellacamera was at UMSL she worked at the Animal Emergency Clinic. During this time Dr. Dellacamera began volunteering at a local animal shelter and that is when she realized she wanted to become a veterinarian.
Dr. Dellacamera attended the University of Missouri-Columbia College of Veterinary Medicine and achieved her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. After graduating from Mizzou she practiced emergency medicine at Veterinary Specialty Services for 10 years. She also volunteered veterinary care to a local rescue group with orphaned pets in need of care.
Dr. Dellacamera is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Dellacamera shares her home with Bell, her 11 year old rescue pitbull, Beatrice a diabetic miniature pincher and Blackie Chan the domestic shorthaired cat. Bell was acquired during veterinary school and is a 16 month pancreatic carcinoma cancer survivor.
