Radiographs (x-rays) are one of the most useful diagnostic tools we employ when caring for your pet. Imperial Animal Hospital uses the latest Idexx 140 CR system digital radiology equipment to better treat your pet. Using advanced digital x-rays, we can determine the location and severity of bone fractures, identify the symptoms of heart disease, and locate foreign bodies (bones, toys, etc.) inside your pet's stomach, among other problems.
Digital radiology offers many benefits for your pet. Because your pet deserves fast, accurate treatment, digital x-rays are ready to view within 90 seconds. Unlike traditional film x-rays, digital radiographs are more detailed and of higher quality, leading to a faster, more accurate diagnosis. Digital x-rays are easier to take than film x-rays, resulting in less time on the x-ray table and less stress for your pet. Digital x-rays also can be e-mailed to board-certified specialists for interpretation.
